Fan Art Collective presents: "True Blood Season 5 Poster/Promo/Cover Contest"


It's always fun to see the series of new posters and promos the creative minds over at HBO come up with each year.

Now it's your turn to make posters and promos for the 5th season of True Blood or a book cover for the newest Sookie Stackhouse Novel "Deadlocked ".


Last year's I-LOVE-TRUE-BLOOD Season 4 Poster Contest had over 90 entries, so please don't be afriad to pass the word about this year's TRUE BLOOD SEASON 5 POSTER CONTEST with your friends on DA, twitter, facebook, tumblr, and any other art communities, forums or chat rooms you may be a member of.


RULES AND REGULATIONS:

All mediums of True Blood Fan art are eligible except for, icons, stamps, small gif's, and stock.

ALL POSTERS MUST HAVE BEEN CREATED IN 2012 OR WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE. You may update and revamp a new version of a previous poster as long a the poster was created in 2012, but the above stated rules regarding logos/slogans/dates still apply.

You have a choice of 3 types of entries:


1. Make a poster or promo for the upcoming season 5 of True Blood:

    a. The posters/promos can feature one (1) or more characters from the regular cast or new characters from the upcoming season, True Blood related props and symbols (blood bags, vials of v, fairies, witches, wolves, shifters, graveyards, etc.), typography, vectors or anything else True Blood related ...

    b. Posters should be vertical or portrait shaped. Promos should be horizontal or landscape shaped. You may make a wallpaper as a promo as long as rule "a." is followed.


2. Make an advertisement for Merlotte's Bar and Grill, Fangtasia, Bon Temps Tourism, Tru : Blood Synthetic Blood Beverage, The AVL, Fellowship of the Sun, or an Anti/Pro V (vampire blood) Public service announcement.

ALL POSTERS AND PROMOS MUST HAVE THE TITLE LOGO OF TRUE BLOOD (there's a few styles to pick from in our 'TB Logo, Character, Beverage, and Prop stock' folder @ [link]) SOMEWHERE ON THE PROMO AND POSTER FOLLOWED BY EITHER THE PREMIERE DATE (tenatively June 24), THE YEAR 2012, SEASON 5, "NOTHING STAYS BURIED FOREVER", "FIGHT THE AUTHORITY", "WAITING SUCKS",  "TRU: BLOOD SYNTHETIC BLOOD BEVERAGE" OR ANYTHING ELSE YOUR WICKED MINDS CAN COME UP WITH. ALL POSTERS MUST HAVE BEEN CREATED IN 2012 OR WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE.


3. Make an alternate book cover for the newest Sookie Stackhouse novel by Charlaine Harris.

      a. ALL BOOK COVERS MUST HAVE THE TITLE "DEADLOCKED" AND THE AUTHOR'S NAME CHARLAINE HARRIS. ALL POSTERS MUST HAVE BEEN CREATED IN 2012 OR WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE.


5.Only eight (8) entries of fan art per person.


6. I have made a special folder for the entries. All entries should be submitted into the folder titled "TB Season 5 Poster-Promo-Cover Contest" Only art pieces submitted into that folder are eligible.


7. You do not have to be a member to enter but it would be cool if you were. All members, contributors, and admins are eligible to enter fan art except for myself (riogirl9909 [link]) and co-founder PowlaM [link] since we are hosting this year's contest.


8. Please feel free to use an abuse any of the I.L.T.B. Stock Folders but remember to always credit your stock source in your art piece's comments section. 9. Contest entries will be accepted from March 20th, 2012 through June 24th, 2012 (the tenative US premiere date of season 5).


10.  Voting begins June 25th, 2012 and ends July 10th, 2012.


11. Each member, contributor and admin will get 3 votes each to vote on the 3 True Blood fan art promos/posters they most fancy.


12. Only one prize per person even if you have submitted more than one entry - if you have submitted more than one entry the piece with the most number of votes will be awarded the prize.


13. The prizes will be:

1st place 500 DA points
2nd place 300 DA points
3rd place 100 DA points

DARK VALENTINE TB/SVM FAN ART CONTEST!!!!!!!!

It's time for our 2nd contest trubies!!!

By popular demand it will be a DARK VALENTINE themed True Blood/SVM Fan Art contest.

All forms of True Blood/SVM fan art are welcome as long as it has a DARK VALENTINE theme.

WHAT IS THE DEFINITION OF A DARK VALENTINE THEME?

1. A romance that deals with horror or mysterious events.

2. A genre that combines elements of both the supernatural and romance or horror and romance.

WHAT WOULD BE SOME EXAMPLES?

1.What would Valentine's day be like in the True Blood/SVM Universe...no candy necklaces and glitter stickers for the residents of Bon Temps and Shreveport...use your imagination ...anything goes as long as it has a dark tone to it an features true blood or SVM.

2.Make a Dark Valentine's day card featuring your two favorite characters...

3. biting, blood lust, feeding, a wolf carrying a bloody rose, betrayel, broken hearts/promises, Gothic, black hearts, bleeding hearts or even black roses...anything that shows the darker side of Valentine's Day but still features true blood or SVM.

RULES:

1. Each submission must be a brand new piece, not already entered into our gallery folders before January 22, 2011 and MUST FEATURE AT LEAST TWO CHARACTERS FROM TRUE BLOOD OR SVM or true blood logo/promo art.

2. Partial nudity is ok..as long as we keep it classy - you can't show more than they do on HBO.

3.Only three entries of fan art per person.

4.I have made a special folder for the entries. All entries should be submitted into the folder titled "Dark Valentine TB-SVM Fan Art Contest" Only art pieces submitted into that folder are elligible.

6.Contest entries will be accepted from January 22nd, 2011 through March 22nd, 2011.

7.Each member, contributor and admin will get 3 votes each to vote on the three fan art pieces they most fancy.

8.Voting begins March 23rd, 2011 and ends March 30th, 2011.

9. Only one prize per person even if you have submitted more than one entry - if you have submitted more than one entry the piece with the most number of votes will be awarded the prize.

The prizes will be:

1st place 500 DA points
2nd place 300 DA points
3rd place 100 DA points

***since I pay for all the prizes myself donations are super welcome and needed if you would like to see bigger prizes***

Now that Echo-cosplay is a group, it seems rather silly to have all of those photos with "DO NOT FAV HERE!!!" on them.
